Brief

To create a naturalistic garden entrance and pathways that integrate harmoniously with the bushland surroundings of Eltham, VIC, while resolving level changes with minimal structural intervention.

Solution

Hand-selected granite boulders and steps were used to craft a rugged yet refined stone staircase weaving through native plantings. The random granite paving and carefully placed boulders create a seamless connection with the surrounding landscape, softened by dense Lomandra and cascading rosemary. Thoughtful positioning of feature rocks and layered textures ensures a natural flow from the driveway through to the home’s entrance, celebrating the earthy character of the site.
